FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
I am asked many questions about my mobile hairdressing service. I hope to answer many of them below. If you have other questions please use the booking form to contact me.
What forms of payment do you accept?
I currently accept payment by cash or PayPal on the day that I do your hair. If it’s your first appointment with me I may request partial or full payment prior to commencing. Please note that paying with PayPal comes with an additional fee.
Can I come to your salon/home?
As a mobile hairdresser, I offer my services in the convenience of your home.
What services do you offer?
I offer a range of services including, full colour, foils, ombre, balayage, women’s cuts, men’s cuts, and colour correction.
If you’re unsure about the services you need or those I offer please don’t hesitate to ask.
Will you wash or rinse my hair?
Due to the nature of home hairdressing, I can’t wash or rinse your hair.
For a haircut, I ask that you wash your hair right before your appointment.
If you're having a colour you may need to keep your hair unwashed in the days prior to your appointment. To rinse out colour used in your service its easiest if you just jump in the shower.
How will you perform your services?
I’ll need enough room to walk around a chair with access to a nearby power point for my hairdryer and clippers. For easier cleanup a hard floor is preferable. Usually, the kitchen, living area or a large bathroom is suitable.
I’ll set up my hairdressing equipment on a bench or table nearby.
I bring everything I need to cut, colour and style your hair.
At the end of your service, all you’ll need to do is vacuum up any cut hair.
What areas do you travel to?
I offer mobile hairdressing across Canberra and Queanbeyan.
I have clients in, Tuggeranong, Belconnen, Gungahlin, Weston Creek, Woden, Queanbeyan and Googong.
Can you treat head lice?
I cannot treat head lice. Due to health and safety rules and to protect myself and other clients I am also unable to perform any services on people who have shown any signs of head lice in the previous fortnight.
If you have head lice and I’ve started our appointment, I have to end the appointment, as I need to clean and sterilise all of my equipment, cape, combs etc.
Do you charge a travel fee?
I do not charge a travel fee, however, I have a minimum fee of $50. This reflects the commitment I make to travel to you.
Do you offer a discount for seniors?
I do not offer discounted services for seniors.
Do you have to blow-wave my hair?
For most services a basic blow-wave is needed to check the cut and/or colour are correct. This is different from a full blow-wave service.
